Gun-Safe-Trained

Teaches the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude for owning and operating a pistol safely. This course is 8-hours long and includes classroom and range time learning to shoot revolvers and semi-automatic pistols. Students learn NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; pistol parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; range rules; shooting from the bench rest position, and two handed standing positions; cleaning the pistol; and continued opportunities for skill development. Students will receive the NRA Guide to the Basics of Pistol Shooting handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet, take a Basics of Pistol Shooting Student Examination, and course completion certificate.

One on One Training

Beginners --30 Minute Session with Instructor-- $45.00 (Included: Range time, Smith & Wesson 22c

rental, 50 rounds, targets).

Basics --1 Hour Session with Instructor-- $45.00 (Included: Range time, targets) Participant can rent

a firearm, but the preference is for them to train with the firearm they will be using.

Intermediate --1 Hour Session with Instructor-- $40.00 (Included: Range time, targets) Participant

can rent a firearm, but the preference is for them to train with the firearm they will be using.

Shooting from the low ready position and combines target and defensive shooting skills.

Experienced --1 Hour Session with Instructor-- $45.00 (Included: Range time, targets) Defensive

shooting skills and drawing from concealed carry position.

Step 3

Missouri Concealed Carry Permit Training $65.00

This is an eight hour course that covers Basic Firearms training as well as the Legal, Moral and Ethical requirements for the Missouri Concealed Carry Permit. Ammunition not included.

Step 4

NRA Personal Protection in the Home Course $75 (Includes NRA Certificate)

This is an 8 hour course and students should expect to shoot approximately 100 rounds of ammunition. Students will learn basic defensive shooting skills, strategies for home safety and responding to a violent confrontation, firearms and the law, how to choose a handgun for self-defense, and continued opportunities for skill development.

Step 5

NRA Personal Protection Outside the Home Course $75 (Includes NRA Certificate)

This is a fourteen hour course and runs on a Sat & Sun and teaches students the knowledge, skills and attitude essential for avoiding dangerous confrontations and for the safe, effective and responsible use of a concealed pistol for self-defense outside the home. Students attending this course will need a quality side hip holster that covers the trigger, or a holster purse. From a review of safe firearms handling, a proper mindset from presentation to concealment, and multiple shooting positions - this course contains the essential skills and techniques needed to prevail in a life-threatening situation. Each student will need a firearm, holster, magazine holster, extra magazines and 250 rounds of ammunition. In store ammo discounts available for course requirements.
